Monique and Lorne were part of training events that took place across BC in Prince George, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Westbank, Smither and Abbotsford. These events were to train community coordinators who work in Aboriginal communities. After the training, the coordinators would then be eligible to apply for grants to assist them in setting up 6 week challenges to help improve the lives of Aboriginal people – 6 week challenges like walking programs, learning proper nutrition and quit smoking.
